Mr. Tan was appointed to the Board on 15 March 2021 as an Executive Director.

Upon completion of his studies from the Bukit Jalil Sports School and SMK Gunung Rapat, Mr. Tan Yip Juin started his career in the logistic sector as an Operation Officer based in Klang under ChipSeng Heng Enterprise Sdn Bhd (“ChipSeng Heng”) since 2015. He was involved in the operation management aspect of the company which handled 3PL services and a total 20 units of cargo and tanker lorries, the daily delivery fulfilment based on customer requirement and the overall fleet management.

Within a year, he was promoted to the Operation Cum Safety Officer whereby he was responsible in implementing safety management and ensure all workers are complying safety rules in the working area, the monthly incoming vessel by providing custom clearance services, stock transfer, from vessel to yard, weigh bridge monitoring, stockpile management, daily monitoring on loading progress and delivery to ensure raw material in customer plant never below safety level and the monthly delivery forecast by communicating closely with receiving party.

Then in 2018, he was transferred to the headquarters of the company based in Ipoh as their General Manager where he was tasked to oversee all departments which include operation, fleet, workshop, safety, accounts, and HR for the HQ and branch with total of 180 unit of fleets and 220 manpower. During his tenure as the General Manager, he provided marketing & sales strategies, improved the company internal management to be more systematic, implemented ISO 39001 Road Traffic Safety Management, internal structural change and implemented recruitment targeting the younger generation.

Currently, he is the Executive Director of the ChipSeng Heng and he is working on strengthening the company’s positions by minimising cost by providing vehicle training to drivers for better understanding on taking care on their fleet, implementing driver management system (merit & demerit), restructuring workshop inventories control by having a proper racking and bar code system, implementing lorry maintenance system to reduce down time, maximize revenue by re-routing trucks operation, increase return goods volume, encourage operation officer always perform at their best by implementing KPI, provide expansion strategy and financial planning for MD to make a clearer decision for the company’s growth strategies.

Besides that, he also is serving as a Director in a several companies involving in the transportation, construction raw materials and IT sectors. As the Director of these companies, he plays an instrumental role in the business development and overall business direction of the businesses.
